Organic Dried Hunza Mulberries

Raw Hunza mulberries are grown on the mountains of the Himalayas & Karakorm at Hunza Organic Farms using traditional organic farming methods. Mountainside terraced mulberry plants are irrigated with mineral-rich glacial meltwaters. Over a thousand years of time, this natural method has produced two-foot thick topsoil, saturated with life-giving nutrients containing calcium, copper, gold and iron.

Dried mulberries have a naturally sweet flavor with no added sugar. They provide unusually high levels of protein and iron for fruit and are also a rich source of vitamin C, fiber, calcium, and antioxidants. The health benefits of mulberries include their ability to improve digestion, lower cholesterol, aid in weight loss and increase circulation. Two types of Mulberries are found in Gilgit-Baltistan. White mulberry (Morus alba) and Black mulberry (Morus nigra) They also a good source of minerals like potassium, manganese, and magnesium. Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that helps controlling heart rate and blood pressure. The body uses manganese as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme, superoxide dismutase.
